Alpha Carbonate is designed to support stable rumen conditions in properly formulated rations. It has grown into one of Qureshi Traders’ leading dairy-feed products and is trusted by livestock customers nationwide. Its calcium magnesium carbonate basis offers a non-sodium-led buffering option where a nutritionist determines it is appropriate.

Research basis

Product development was informed by published research comparing calcium magnesium carbonate (CMC) and sodium bicarbonate supplementation in high-producing dairy cows. The cited study identified CMC as a potential alternative buffer and reported higher faecal pH than the control, while finding no overall performance advantage for either buffer under the diets and conditions tested.
